We partnered with Nutrition International on their maternal and child health work in Pakistan, providing design and translation consulting for their SBCC materials. The goal behind the program is straightforward but critical: improve maternal nutrition, particularly access to and understanding of multiple micronutrient supplementation, by equipping healthcare providers and frontline health workers with the knowledge and tools to bring nutrition counselling into everyday practice, especially in underserved rural areas like KP.
We built clear, culturally grounded materials designed to be understood at a glance, by a field worker mid-visit and by a woman in a rural KP household with no time to decode a complicated chart. As part of the project, we developed over 60 original illustrations, all built to reflect the communities the program actually serves.
The design puts the message first. Simple, culturally familiar illustration carries the core action, whether that’s a supplement schedule or an MMS reminder, so it reads instantly, even at a glance. Text is kept minimal and supportive, not load-bearing, because these tools are used in real time, in the field, not read at a desk.
